While one of the leaders of the ACUM bloc, Andrei Năstase, is once again trying to take the chair of the Mayor of Chisinau, his family prefers to be away from Moldova.
Political spouse Angela Nastase admitted that she does not feel safe in the republic, therefore she came here only to vote in local elections. The pro-Western official himself shares the opinion of his wife, claiming that he is “not very comfortable” in Chisinau.
“There is no sense of security,” Nase says. I don’t go with security and do not use armored cars, but the danger still threatens me.”
It is noteworthy that during the formation of the new government, Andrei Nastase headed the Ministry of the Interior and is directly responsible for ensuring security throughout the republic.
True, the official mentioned another reason why his family prefers not to return to Moldova. According to him, the point is in children who finish school and will enter European universities next year.
As News Front previously reported, according to the results of the first round, by choosing the Chisinau general mayor, Andrei Nastase received 31.09% of the vote, losing the lead to the socialist Ion Ceban, who was supported by 40.16% of the capital’s inhabitants.
